The Experience

Loma is not a hotel.
It’s a sanctuary for people ready to do the work on themselves.

Eight principles guide every day here. Four are woven into every stay — your room, your meals, your movement, your community. Four go deeper for those who are ready.

Rest
Every Stay

Rest

At Loma, guests are encouraged to claim their rest unapologetically. Rest is a practice of sovereignty, stepping out of the external world's demands and into alignment with the body's wisdom.

The First Medicine of the Sanctuary

In the default world, rest is often dismissed, shamed, or seen as weakness. Cities are filled with noise, artificial light, constant notifications, and cultures that glorify exhaustion. The nervous system rarely finds stillness.

At Loma de Atitlan, rest is redefined as sacred. Here, we give intentional permission to rest, not as indulgence, but as alignment. Rest here is not passive. It is active recalibration. It is medicine.

Room Design

Natural materials: wood, stone, cotton, and clay. Buckwheat hull mattresses and organic linens. Each room opens to the rhythms of the lake and volcanoes, inviting the nervous system into resonance with nature's stillness.

Experience Design

An unhurried schedule where optionality and spaciousness are built into every day. Quiet hours, soft lighting at night, and the invitation to watch the sunrise in silence.

Cultural Framing

Rest is not something to apologize for. It is celebrated. Your rest is your power.

At Loma, guests are encouraged to claim their rest unapologetically. Rest is a practice of sovereignty, stepping out of the external world's demands and into alignment with the body's wisdom. Rest is the permission to stop. To be. To remember that you are enough even in stillness.

Rest is the foundation upon which all healing, clarity, and evolution arise.

Life Expressed Through the Body

Movement is life expressed through the body. Daily practices, including yoga, functional fitness, somatic embodiment, and dance, are offered to awaken vitality without pressure or performance.

Movement at Loma is not exercise. It is a return to our natural state of aliveness. Morning classes open the body with the sunrise. Afternoon sessions integrate play, flow, or functional strength.

Connect - philosophy

Connection is not optional. It is essential to human wellness. At Loma, connection happens naturally: over shared meals, around evening fires, and through the quiet presence of people who chose to be here. You'll leave with relationships forged in authenticity.

We heal and grow together. Connection is not an amenity. It is the heart of the Sanctuary.
